Originally named Comotara Mainsgate Village, Comotara Homeowners Association was incorporated in January of 1973. In 2023 Comotara was named #18 out of hundreds of neighborhoods in the Wichita metropolitan area among those best to live in. Comprised of 190 homes, Comotara boasts more than 15 acres of Common Areas.

Comotara is located near the intersection of 21st Street and Woodlawn Avenue in East Wichita. Rock Road to the east provides a large number of shopping opportunities and restaurants. To the west is Wichita State University and access to I135 for travel north and south. Highway 96 is located to the north for those traveling east and west. Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport is only 15-20 minutes away.
